Word count on Notes app

I want to suggest a feature for Notes. It would be awesome to have a word count function, so you could see the word count as you're typing, and the total word count of a highlighted passage.

How can I get a word count in iPhone notes app? I’m trying to count the words in a note on my iPhone 13 pro but I don’t see a way to do that. I looked it up and saw an answer for iPad that i hoped would work for my iPhone, but it doesn’t. The answer given in this forum directs the user to use the Pages app but when I try to do that, the word count does not show up in the bottom right corner as predicted by the instructions for the iPad version of the Pages app. I looked for a setting to change but I don’t find it.
