Why optimized battery charging does not work via usb type c (charging by monitor - Lenovo q27h-10). Macos Monteray macbook air m1.
Battery shows always 100% and does not stop charging.
When used with AC adapter it often charges to 80% instead of 100%.
What is going on when charging via monitor?

If you want to temporarily pause or turn off Optimized Battery Charging, follow these steps:
1. Choose Apple menu > System Preferences.
2. Click Battery, then select Battery in the sidebar.
3. Deselect "Optimized battery charging", then click Turn Off or Turn Off Until Tomorrow.

Hi hc1111 I've found this solution in another thread and gave it a try. So the result was the same. My Mac is still charging constantly to 100%.

Are you not able to plug your MacBook Air into the wall outlet when you are using the external monitor?
Keep in mind, with lithium-ion batteries, the battery will not overcharge.
However, if you want to look into why the Optimized Battery Charging is not slowing down the charging between 80% and 100% when plugged into your display, we'd suggest contacting Apple Support.
Let them know exactly what's happening, and the difference between charging with the wall adapter and with the display, so they can look into this further.

I have not tried to use wall adapter in parallel with this particular monitor, because I am a little bit afraid to connect both power sources at once.
And also, the idea to buy such a monitor was to use its usb type-c power benefits.
Can I write to the support or only phone calls are accepted?
