Watch os 9 only playing out of one earbud

Hey, I recently updated my apple watch to Watch OS 9. I like to run and listen to music from my watch. For some reason ever since the update the apple watch will only play audio out of one earbud. Does anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Blaze3456,

Ensure the audio balance isn't set to play from the right channel only in the accessibility settings on your Apple Watch. See how to check that here:

Accessibility audio settings on Apple Watch - Apple Support

"Change mono audio and balance settings

Open the Settings app on your Apple Watch, tap Accessibility, then, under Hearing, do any of the following

  • Switch from stereo to mono audio: Turn on Mono Audio.
  • Adjust the audio balance: Tap the L or R button below Mono Audio.

You can also open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone, tap My Watch, tap Accessibility, then turn on Mono Audio and adjust the audio balance."

If the issue continues, reach out to Apple Support for further assistance. You can use the following link to reach out: Contact - Official Apple Support

Kind regards.

Hey there Blaze3456,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We're happy to provide some assistance.

To clarify, are you using AirPods? If so, the actions in this article may help with the issue you're describing:

If your left or right AirPod isn't working - Apple Support

1. Make sure that your charging case is fully charged.
2.Place both AirPods in your charging case and let them charge for 30 seconds.
3. Open the charging case near your iPhone or iPad.

4. Check the charge status on your iPhone or iPad to make sure that each AirPod is charging .

5. Put both AirPods in your ears.
6. Play audio to test both AirPods.
7. If an AirPod still isn't working, reset your AirPods or contact Apple Support.

Keep us posted.

Have a great day!

First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH for responding! I am sorry I should have been a little clearer in my first question. I am using Beats fit pro with my apple watch and I try to listen to music downloaded on to my watch. But it only plays out of one earbud, if you have both earbuds in it only plays out of the right earbud but if you put the right one away it will play out of the left one. Both of the earbuds work fine on my iPhone. I have apple watch SE and iphone 11 Thanks!!
