12.9 iPad Pro not connecting to Apple Thunderbolt display

I have a 12.9 iPad Pro and I'm trying to connect it to the Apple Thunderbolt display. I am using a Thunderbolt2 to Thunderbolt 3 adaptor and nothing. Help!!!

Not all models of iPad Pro support Thunderbolt displays.
