I have iPhone 14 pro max and while making an inbound wats app call my proximity sensor does not work, screen does not go black when iPhone near my cheek but in inbound calls the sensor works like it should and in normal inbound and outbound phone it works fine, the only issue is with outbound watsapp call. I have rest the settings and force restarted iPhone removed and reinstalled app multiple times updated to iOS 16.0.3 but it’s still the same

My issue got resolved after updating to IOS 16.1
note to self don’t update to beta version wait for the stable version to get released😬

i tried outbound calling with facebook messenger and telegram and the behaviour is same with those apps as well. It seems an issue with iOS 16
I have the same issue 😭 I called Apple customer service, they offered a replacement but that didn’t help
