Apple Watch haptics only intermittently work...

I rarely - sometimes, but rarely - get the "Stand" notification at 10 minutes before the hour.

Haptics for incoming messages sometimes - but not always - occur.

Quick test yesterday sending 4 messages from another phone: haptics occurred for only 3 of the 4. During the day, I'm sure I miss many more than 25%.

It's not a question of turning on haptics, or adjusting, it's that they don't consistently work and I can't rely on my watch now to deliver notifications that I need.

Series 5 watch - replaced 2 years in with AppleCare - so it's newer than one would think and in very good shape with respect to battery and performance.

Suggestions? Others experiencing this?

Good day ryoustra,

Let’s work through some troubleshooting, and see if we can make sure your watch is delivering the notifications you expect.

First, if you haven’t already, be sure you restart both your Apple Watch and your companion iPhone. Simple step, yes, but it’s going to refresh the software and the connection between the devices.

Restart your iPhone

Restart your Apple Watch

Next, can you let us know if you’re receiving notifications of messages on other devices? For example, is your iPhone awake when those messages come in or have you added a new device to the mix such as a Mac or iPad?

Thanks.
