Why does my News App keep closing seconds after I open it or open an article?

Apple News App Keeps Shutting Down Is there a problem today with the Apple News app? Anything I load through that app shuts down and back to home screen within a minute or so. Everything else seems to be working OK. Before today my 3rd Gen iPad Air with iPadOS 15.7 has worked fine. Of does this indicate some other problem with my iPad? If someone has a suggested fix I will welcome it.

Unable to open News App on my iPad after iPadOS 18.2 update After updating to ios 18.2 on both my iphone and ipad the iphone works fine but my ipad has had problems. My ipad is a 7th generation model. After the update completed I could not view content in the news app. It just showed the loading message but would never finish loading. The app store also refused to load. I shut down the ipad and rebooted it. The app store then worked and the general speed of the ipad got better. The news app still refused to open. I tried rebooting the ipad a couple more times but the news app still will not open. Any suggestions of what I need to do to get the news app working. Thanks, Jim [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Restart the device. That's it.
