What is the best way to listen to Hi-Res audio?

Listening to hi-res Apple Music is not as easy and friendly as other streaming services.

i usually listen music through my integrated amp that connect directly from MacBook using USB port. Is there any better way to stream or listen to hi-res lossless audio quality from Apple Music?

ccthered,

AirPlay doesn't support streaming lossless audio between devices. Listening to lossless music requires using your Mac speakers or a wired connection to receivers or powered speakers. From the related article you referenced, About lossless audio in Apple Music - Apple Support, you can learn more about how to listen to lossless Apple Music on your Mac:

"You can listen to lossless on a Mac updated to the latest version of macOS using:

  • A wired connection to headphones, receivers, or powered speakers
  • The built-in speakers
  • 14-inch MacBook Pro and 16-inch MacBook Pro support native playback of songs at sample rates up to 96 kHz.
  • To listen to songs at sample rates higher than 48 kHz on other Mac computers, you need an external digital-to-analog converter."

Take care.
