Does apple ship pre-orders from store or from the nearest Warehouse.
Iam from India the person who getting me the iPhone from USA asking me 60$ extra saying that apple shipped the product from other state store. So apple charged that state tax amount. He is from Virginia PS : i don't know the state names.
Can somebody help on this.

The product would most likely be shipped directly from the factory in China.
As above, if it was ordered directly from Apple there is no shipping charge, but sales tax will always be charged as applicable.
If the item was ordered from the Apple online store, shipping is free. However, sales tax would be charged at the rate applicable for the state where it was shipped.
Then product will be shipped from apple store as per availability?
