Many Contacts Missing

During one of the recent (6 weeks or so) IOS upgrades II lost a lot of my contacts...even contacts I had in my phone for years. I tried to do the contacts restore on iCloud but the oldest version was from 9/17 and no other options to choose. Is there any other way to restore my contacts?

Hello SSSMP00,

We would like to see how we can help you with your missing contacts. Did you remove any email accounts during this time period when the contacts went missing? Go through each of your Accounts in Settings > Mail > Accounts, and be sure "Contacts" is switched on. Just to confirm, are these the steps you went through: If you accidentally deleted your calendars, bookmarks, or contacts from iCloud - Apple Support

"Restore your contacts or bookmarks from an earlier version

  1. From your iPad or computer, sign in to iCloud.com.
  2. Click your name at the top of the iCloud.com window, then click Account Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Under Advanced, click Restore Contacts or Restore Bookmarks.
  4. Click Restore next to the date before you deleted the content.
  5. Click Restore again to confirm. After the restore completes, you'll get a notification on iCloud.com and an email to the address on file with your Apple ID."

Get back to us with these details so that we have a better understanding of the issue, and we can go from there.

Cheers!
