cannot find MagSafe Firmware on iPhone SE2 (settings/about)

Hi, just bought a MagSafe charger for my iPhone SE2 ; a firmware update has been released so I decided to check for version and make sure it updates yet I cannot find that anywhere -at least not under the advised settings/about. Moreover, FastCharging does not seem to work despite trying a (generic) 20W power adapter.

Could anybody please let me know if the iPhone SE2 can update the firmware/has anyone had FastCharging issues? Thank you

Hello hanx_,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand you are asking about fast charging your iPhone SE (2nd generation). The short answer is: Yes. Your model does have fast charging capability.

You will want to make sure the power adapter and cable you are using is also supports the needs for fast charging.

Fast charge your iPhone - Apple Support

1. Fast charging works when you use an Apple USB-C to Lightning cable and one of these adapters:
1. Apple 18W, 20W,2 29W, 30W, 61W, 87W, or 96W USB-C Power Adapter
2. A comparable third-party USB-C power adapter that supports USB Power Delivery (USB-PD)

We'd recommend testing with an Apple-branded power adapter and cable. You mentioned using a MagSafe charger. Is that our Apple MagSafe charger? If so, you may just need to test with the Apple-branded 20W USB-C Power Adapter.
