my final cut pro wont update from the app store, its saying im using a separate user id, how to change that? The app came with my new mac.

App store on new Mac Mini I am unable to redownload an app and cannot get updates to download. I keep getting reprompted for my apple ID and password. I've updated my password logged out of the App store and machine and I still have the same issue.
