I am unable to redownload an app and cannot get updates to download.
I keep getting reprompted for my apple ID and password.
I've updated my password logged out of the App store and machine and I still have the same issue.
Mac mini (M2, 2023)
The account info in the Music app (where apps were purchased in 2011 on my old machine) was outdated.
Updated it and rebooted.
Updates are working now.
The re-download seems to be fixed as well.

Are you using the same Apple ID you had when you first downloaded the apps? If not, you can't re-download or update the apps. You would have to delete the apps then download with your new Apple ID.

You would have to log back in using the New Password
Should be the same Apple ID just a new password.
I have deleted one app and now I can't download it. It shows the download icon but clicking it has no result.
I haven't tried any othe apps as theey still work but the update function does not.
