I forgot the passcode to my old iPhone. It was on the same phone number and everything that I am still using on my new iPhone. I don’t want to reset the old iPhone and erase everything, I just need to be able to open it so I can use it as a second phone

The only way to reset the passcode is to erase your iPhone completely. If you have a backup file of that iPhone then you can restore it from that file after the erase and reset is complete.
