Bookmarks keep disappearing
I have been using Mac for 25 years, and have been using Safari since it was first released. But I am totally fed up with it.
I use Safari for all my research, and have thousands and thousands of bookmarks organised carefully into folders and subfolders. Safari keeps deleting whole folders of bookmarks, so that I am losing many days of valuable research.
This may be because I have too many bookmarks. I read somewhere that there is a limit of 25,000 bookmarks. That may seem like a lot, but it's very likely I am exceeding that. But if this is the problem, why can't the application just give me a warning. And bookmarks hardly take up any space. The total file size of my bookmarks.plist is 36 Mb, about the size of a handful of photos!
I need to find an alternative as I am totally fed tip with this browser.
