AirDrop fail

I have been trying to airdrop (live) photos from my iPhone 11 Pro to my iPad. iOS on both devices are updated to the latest update, both have been restarted, Bluetooth and wifi turned off-on, AirDrop receiving options adjusted — I’ve tried everything I could think about. Still, I can’t transfer one or multiple photos. A pop up box tells me AirDrop failed; I can either save to iCloud or cancel.

Is there any other solution I haven’t tried? Thanks in advance to responders!
