Apple CarPlay volume issues

I have a new 2022 Honda Goldwing with a Sena 50c headset. My music volume and Siri volume is fine when I headset is connected via Bluetooth with my phone. However, when I connect to CarPlay, the volume is really low on both music and very very low on directions and Siri I’d like to get this issue resolved. Please help I’ve watched YouTube videos on my iPhone settings. I’m up-to-date on all my software updates to the iPhone.

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 16

Hello Imgjungle,

We understand that you're running into issue with the audio volume when streaming from your iPhone using CarPlay. Have you tried the actions provided in article, If you need help with CarPlay - Apple Support? If not, give those a try. In particular the steps we recommend most from it are the following:

  1. Make sure the firmware for your stereo system is up-to-date.
  2. Forget the vehicle in Settings > General > CarPlay as well as the iPhone from the stereo settings and reconnect.

Best regards.

So I finally got volume figured out. Now my Sena 50C headset, 22’ Honda Goldwing tour 1800 or iPhone 14 pro (with most recent update) will not allow me to ask Siri. I tried “Hey Siri” nothing! I push my talk button, I receive static, bing sound and psychedelic circle. But no action nor response from Siri. People can’t hear me, again, when I receive or make a phone call. Going to change headset Mike to boom version. Bike software has most recent. May delete communication to bike/phone and run setup again. I don’t understand why it has to be so difficult for my headset, Bike and phone to communicate together! Sena has no customer support which is really disheartening.

I recently tried your fix suggestions and this failed to work. Siri will not respond either by voice or pushing, push to talk, on bike. So frustrating. Every once in a while Siri works. Then the next time I connect to headset and bike I get static and the beep and twirly icon with no indication Siri can hear me, which leaves me with no returned response or action. Contacting Sena about this as well
