Apple Carplay music volume a lot softer after last IOS update

I have an Iphone 14. I use Carplay through wired usb. I have a decent sound system in my car and can usually not play the volume louder than level 30 on my headunit. After the last update I can turn the headunit to full volume and it is still not as loud as it was at level 30 before IOS update.

I have tried different fixes I found on internet, but nothing seems to fix the sound issue.

I checked that the headunit is not faulty by swapping from carplay to normal radio station and even the radio stations play louder.

Have any got any tricks or tips or something I can look at.

This is the exact same issue I have been having, in my car with an upgraded sound system and on my headphones. It’s very noticeable on my apple gen 2 AirPods while at the gym. I can’t get it loud enough to drown out the gym noise/ music in the background; which has not been an issue prior to update. This all happened the morning after my recent overnight update. I realize this post is of zero help, but I am hoping to draw more attention to this as I can’t find info on this matter anywhere else. Thanks for posting this!
