Macbook Pro , Touch bar no display and non functional.

Hi ,

I have upgraded MacOS long back with version Catalina , and from there i ma facing issues in my mac , machine restarts after every 5- 7 mis. and Touch Bar not displaying anything and it was non functional. Only the Switch ON/OFF/finger Auth button was working.on the Touch Bar. All the keyboard keys were also working.

In System Preferences > Keyboard > ? there is no option for Touch Bar . Form that time till now i was not able to use Touch Bar.

I upgraded to next OS version also to Big Sur thinking of it might resolve my problem but after upgrading then also i faced the same issue of restarting machine every 3- 5 min.

I forced shutdown and then it worked well with some weird popups.

The same thing happened with Moneterey update.

Help me in getting my Touch Bar work again and laptop abrupt behaviour sometimes.

regards,

Prateek Pathak.

Hi prateek081,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities.

We understand that you're having an issue with the Touch Bar on your Mac, and we'd like to help.

Does this issue persist in safe mode?

Try that and let us know: How to use safe mode on your Mac

Determine whether you're using a Mac with Apple silicon, then follow the appropriate steps:

Apple silicon

1) Shut down your Mac.

2) Turn on your Mac and continue to press and hold the power button until you see the startup options window.

3) Select your startup disk, then press and hold the Shift key while clicking “Continue in Safe Mode.”

4) Log in to your Mac. You might be asked to log in again.

Intel processor

1) Turn on or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key as your Mac starts up.

2) Release the key when you see the login window, then log in to your Mac.

3) You might be asked to log in again. On either the first or second login window, you should see ”Safe Boot” in the upper-right corner of the window.

We recommend the steps above because they will help you troubleshoot the Touch Bar issue you're having on your Mac.

Post back if you are still having problems after working through the steps in the link above.

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.

Cheers!
