Logic Pro audio playback only plays mono left while the app is open, but proper stereo when I close the app.

Logic Pro X Version 10.5.1

Macbook Air (M1, 2020, Version 12.5.1)

My audio playback in Logic takes any left audio that is being played, converts it to mono, and outputs it through both the left and right in my headphones. So I'm hearing through both headphones but if I pan my stereo out channel all the way to the right, I hear nothing. When I export the audio from this right-only stereo out channel and play the file with the Logic app still open, I hear nothing. However, when Logic is closed and I play the exported audio file, the stereo works according to my panned-right export and I only hear panned right audio.

Can anyone help me figure out what the deal is here? I know it's something to do with my audio playback in Logic, but have no idea how to fix this. Thanks!
