Noise Cancellation not working on AirPods Max

I've noticed that the ANC (Active Noise Cancellation) on my AirPods Max doesn't seem to be working as well as it once did. I can hear things that I was never able to hear before. Any suggestions on what's going on with Active Noise Cancellation and can my AirPods Max be fixed?

Definitely got worse after the last update. Why do they do this? It's noticeably worse than it was. I could understand if there was an improvement in audio quality.... But there isn't, just a degradation in ANC.

Make sure that your ears are completely inside the headphones.
