when my AirPods is in the case why is it still showing as connected and then the battery just keep draining….
normally once I close the the lid, it will disappear but the pro generation 2 still show up on my widget

Your AirPods don't fully turn off when in the charging case so they will be continuously charging. Your case battery will drain upon each charge: Charge your AirPods and find out about battery life – Apple Support

Same issue here. My AirPods Pro 2 have been in the case for the last 5 hours but they still show on my iPhone 13 battery widget. Bluetooth shows them connected as well. I have concerns this is using the cases battery unnecessarily, I may have to return these as well. Please address this issue. Thank you.

So it’s normal that the battery level of AirPods and it’s case always display on the iPhone battery widget even the lid is closed for more than a hour?
