Why do I keep losing the search br in text messages?

Messages App on IPad - Search disappears - even if I pull down! Open messages app on iPad. I rely on Search to quickly find a conversation with a contact. I know how to pull down to make it appear. Works great on my iPhone. On my iPad, my only choice is to scroll through all my previous texts, to find their name. So frustrating. Yes everything is updated. I’ve seen all other threads on what to check.

Message search bar not working I just switched to the Iphone 15 Pro Max and when I try to search key words in my messages, none of my messages pop up or any of my older messages. HELP

Message search won’t bring me to specific text message or load full text Hi There, I have an iPhone 14 and when I search in Messages for a word or phrase, it will show my a list of conversations where the word/phrase has been use. When I click on one of those conversations it takes me to the most recent message instead of the specific message containing the word/phrase. Is there solution to this?

The Messages Search bar is normally hidden - but simply exposed, with a downward swipe of the finger, within the conversation sidebar of the messages Window.
