I do not get text Notifications ( but get the text ) from only one person in my contact list

It is strange that this is only occurring with that one contact, but no others. Based on the details confirmed already, we wanted to rule out some other possible causes:

1. As you have a compatible model, the latest version is iOS 16.0.2. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to first back up, then Update your iPhone or iPad.
2. Sometimes unexpected behavior can be resolved with a restart: Restart your iPhone
3. Have you already tried deleting your thread with that one contact, start a new one, then test for the same issue?
4. If the above steps have no effect, we recommend saving that contact's details, deleting the contact, restart your iPhone once more, add the contact back, then test for the same issue.
5. If the issue still persists, we recommend reaching out to Apple Support to let them know what's been tried, and go from there. They'll be in the best position to assist with this further: Get Support

We'd like to have you check that this conversation isn't accidentally muted. That would cause the notifications not to come through. You can check that with these steps:

1. Open the conversation with that contact
2. Tap their name at the top of the conversation
3. Make sure "Hide Alerts" isn't enabled there
