Apple Music on Sonos

I believe this is really an issue with Sonos, but perhaps there are fellow Sonos users who are Apple people.


Apple Music runs on my Android smartphone. The Sonos app also runs on the phone. I recently attempted to link Apple Music to Sonos. Sonos goes into a loop first showing an error screen that says the Apple Music Account has to be reauthorized. When selecting reauthorize at the bottom of the error message a screen somes up that says connect Sonos to Apple Music with a contine button. After selecting continue, a screen appears that says setup complete with a "Done" button at the top of the screen. After clicking done,Sonos opens an Apple Music screen that says unable to browse music. And one finds oneself in Sonos loop ****.


Any ideas or seggestions are both welcomed and appreciated.

"1. Close and reopen the app

2. Restart your device

3. Check for updates

4. Delete the app, then redownload it"

Hi, Justin.


I spent time on the phone this morning with Sonos tech support regarding this issue.


It was an eye-opening conversation. Even though the Sonos controller app says it supports both iOS and Android that is not true. Right now Apple Music on Adroid is not supported. Sonos only suggestion to get an iOS device and use it to link Apple Music and Sonos.


In spite of misleading their customers about availability on Android, Sonos can provide no estimated completion date for supporting the link on Android.


Makes me think of an old adage. At Sonos, promises are just another thing we make. They could add to that, promises are just another thing we make.
