Mail often shows me blank emails when they are not blank

Often times Mail on my more than one Mac does not display text in the body of the email. I try redownloading email and it still does not display. Is this a common issue? Is there something I can do to make the text display?

Thanks

Mail->Preferences->Privacy->click on the ‘learn more’ under the Protect Mail Activity to see why some content is kept form being displayed for security reasons. Uncheck the Protect Mail Activity box and see if that makes a difference but understand you may be opening yourself up to security issues.
