Reset Apple Watch

Hi Everyone,

My Grandpa recently passed away and left me his Apple Watch, however it does not appear that he has his AppleID or watch password written down anywhere. Is there anyway I can reset it or else have an Apple employee reset it so it works again? I do have a picture of the box and most of the original packaging (which I think has the serial number somewhere).
