I’ve had my 14 Pro Max for a couple of days and all of a sudden no matter what I do with controlling volume, my notifications are crazy loud. From my Ring cameras to my text messages, every notification is on max decibel. Is this a bug? I have owned an iPhone since 2008 and I have never had this happen before.

Thanks for your response. Two things: I turned off Sound Recognition. Also, the volume button on the left side (Ringer) is not the same as the volume control in the pull down control panel. This may be user error/ignorance but the first step seemed to have solved my problem.

Not aware of it being a bug and haven’t had an issue with it on my 14 Pro Max. You can try the usual (restart device) to see if it helps. Maybe someone will chime in. Also did you update to 16.0.1? Not sure if that helps or anything since I never experienced the issue but wouldn’t hurt if you didn’t do it already.
Yes, I’ve restarted and downloaded 16.0.1. I will see if anyone else has some thoughts, but I am testing turning off one thing at a time that I have enabled to see if that could be the root cause. I turned on sound recognition yesterday, and I wonder if that is the problem. So I’ve turned it off and I’m waiting to see if the problem goes away.
Is your phone ringer turned up to the highest point? Or are you saying no matter how low you set the sound all of your notifications continue to come in super loud?

I have the same. During a call, notifications are very loud. 14 MAX. IOS 16.02
