Deleted apps still appear in privacy settings 'apps that have requested access to....x'

iOS 16.0 iphone 13pro

I have deleted an app, but when reviewing privacy settings, it is still listed in all of the privacy settings screens such as 'microphone' and 'photos' under 'apps with requested [photo|bluetooth|microphone etc] access'

I tested it with other apps and as soon as they are deleted they disappear from these views, but there is one app which does not disappear - why would this be and how can I remove it, please?

Thanks

Hello sarnian89,

We understand that one particular app is appearing under Privacy & Security settings on your iPhone, even though you've deleted it. Is that correct? If so, can you please tell me the name of the app? Also, try the steps here: Delete apps on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

Once you click and open the link, please read through and complete the steps in the section titled "How to delete an app."

1) Touch and hold the app.

2) Tap Remove App Remove App icon.

An iPhone screen showing the menu that appears when you touch and hold an app. Remove App is the third option in the menu.

3) Tap Delete App, then tap Delete to confirm.

Keep in mind that some built-in Apple apps can't be deleted from your device, so you might not see the option to delete an app. Here’s a list of built-in Apple apps you can delete from your device. If you can't delete an app that's not made by Apple, disable parental controls, then try deleting the app again.

If you touch and hold an app from the Home Screen and the apps start to jiggle:

* Tap the Remove icon  in the upper-left corner of the app.
An iPhone screen showing an app with the Remove icon in the upper-left corner of the app. There's also an Add button in the top left corner of the screen and a Done button in the top right corner of the screen.

*Tap Delete App, then tap Delete to confirm.

*Tap Done.

The steps above will show you how to remove an app from your device.

If you're still experiencing the same issue after trying the steps above, try restarting your device.

Restart your iPhone

If the original problem persists after trying the previous steps, please provide us with specifics on what you see for more help, and we will continue from there.
