How to enable calls on theater mode?

Prior to getting my new iPhone 13, when I would put my Apple Watch SE on theater mode, it would still screen calls, though silently. Now that I paired it with the new iPhone, theater mode sends incoming calls straight to voicemail. Is there a way to change it back to still receive calls on theater mode?

I know it sounds silly, wanting to receive calls while on theater mode, but I always have my Apple Watch on theater mode, because I find the raise-to-wake to be a little too sensitive, and find it distracting when the watch wakes at the slightest wrist movement.

Hello MrWestNile,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities.

We were able to find this on Theater mode:

Use theater mode on Apple Watch
Theater mode prevents the Apple Watch display from turning on when you raise your wrist, so it stays dark. It also turns on silent mode and makes your Walkie-Talkie status unavailable, but you still receive haptic notifications.
Touch and hold the bottom of the screen, swipe up to open Control Center, tap the theater mode button, then tap Theater Mode.
Control Center with theater mode and silent mode buttons highlighted to show theater mode is on.
When theater mode is on, you see the theater mode status icon at the top of the screen.
To wake Apple Watch when theater mode is on, tap the display, press the Digital Crown or side button, or turn the Digital Crown.

This is from: Use Control Center on Apple Watch

This should not prevent calls from coming through, only silencing them. Do you have any other modes enabled on your iPhone like Do Not Disturb? Have you restarted both of your devices since you first noticed this? Also, which watchOS and iOS versions are you currently using?

Cheers!
