I purchased 50GB iCloud space to backup my phone, work fine. How do I add my wife’s phone to my 50GB iCloud so I can backup her iPhone also without purchasing an additional 50GB of space?

You can share your iCloud+ space in a Family Sharing group.

In Set up Family Sharing Apple shows you how to create a Family Sharing group, then invite members to your group. When you invite your wife make sure that she accepts the offer to share your iCloud space, otherwise she will continue to use the iCloud space associated with her Apple ID - which will be at least the free 5 GB space.
