iPhone apps missing camera access after iOS 16 update

Having just upgraded my iPhone 13 Mini to iOS 16, several apps seem to have lost access to the camera. In Settings/Privacy/Camera there are 2 apps showing, but others that previously would have been there, are not. Most significantly, Health.app is not showing and unsurprisingly, Health.app's settings do not offer Camera access.

It should do though as the new Medications option is supposed to allow the addition of new medications using the camera - according to Apple and other reviews. In any case, it's not just limited to Health as other apps are also now missing from having camera access.

Anyone else seeing this. One of iOS 16's bugs perhaps or is there some other setting that's been snuck in and is preventing some apps' access to the camera?

Yes that would seem logical. However having done that, it simply removed the 2 apps that were showing as having asked for camera access (as expected), but now NOTHING ever seems to ask for access.

So the root of my problem remains. When adding medications to Health.app, it is supposed to offer the use of the camera to scan the packaging and grab the relevant data, avoiding having to type it all in, but it's not doing that. I simply have to type in the name and it is unable to suggest anything so care is required to get it right.

I realise that this is not the biggest problem in the world and it would not take long to set it all up manually, but the fact is that iOS 16 offers this medications facility and is supposed to use the camera to assist (as stated by even Apple and I've seen screen shots of this with the camera icon at the right end of the text entry field), but it is not doing what it is apparently supposed to do and that requires investigation.

So the one reason I had for wanting to update to iOS 16 has resulted in hours of frustration as it resolutely refuses to do what I have been told for months it would wonderfully provide. I cannot compare to iOS 15 as that doesn't have the 'Medications' option in Health.app.

Can anyone confirm that in the release version of iOS 16, they have been able to add medications with the use of the camera?
