I’m having a problem with notification sound after update 16.
the sounds are set to the lowest but it sounds the loudest.
sometimes also too low when you raise the sounds.
Restarted the phone, checked the settings,
nothing changed. There’s something wrong.
any one having the same problem?
Yes, same issue here (random loud notifications and the loud sound when I click the power button to turn the screen off). I updated my 13 mini to iOS 16 and that's when it started. Since, I've purchased a 14 PRO and same thing. The only way to fix it is to go to General/Sounds&Haptics and adjust the volume slider...that works for a little while at least. When I transferred my info from 13 to 14 it then prompted me to update my software due to some iMessage and FaceTime issue on iPhone 14's so now I'm on 16.0.1. That also did not solve the problem. Crazy thing is Apple Support said I'm on a public beta with that software. What? I've never used a Beta software. I had to educate them on the update for iPhone 14's. Not a great experience at this point. Thinking of resetting my 14 and doing a clean install to see if that helps (don't want to but can't take the loud random sounds).

Yes the same issue, also with the Lock Screen sound.
I contacted the apple support, finally he said you should go check your phone (what)??? this happened only after the update.
i’m using 12 pro and I don’t want to reset the phone, very large amount of date to backup and restore.
today i noticed the notification sound is back to normal. But we’ll see the next days.
so wait for a couple of days, don’t reset for now.
Did this get resolved at all? This random loud notification and lock screen sound is pretty annoying. I tried to change the sound settings, it temporarily resolves before the problem resurfaces
I am on IOS 16 / iphone 13 pro
Not through any help from Apple. I ended up doing a full reset of my new 14 PRO. Something must have happened when I wend from iOS15 to 16 on my 13 mini and it carried over to the 14 PRO on transfer. Pain in the but to full reset but all was good after that.
I noticed that it happens when you change the lockscreen that is linked to focus mode.
it appears when you switch between more than one Lock Screen.
when i’m back to main Lock Screen the sound goes loud.
so i removed the new Lock Screen tha, and I kept only original one.
it worked for now.
I did a reset to the setting and the problem has vanished since (has been stable for the past 3 weeks)

Settings->General->Transfer or Reset iPhone ->Reset->Reset All Settings

Yes, I contacted the support service, they said you may need to technically check your phone.
there is something wrong with this update guys not my phone.
This is happening to me as well. Audio management is all messed up since ios16.
