Hi. I’m having issues connecting a second monitor to my 2014 Mac Mini. I’ve done some Google searches but get dozens of different answers.
Someone please explain it to me! I feel like this should be really simple but I don’t get along with technology.

Ah’ sorry, those instructions are for using USB-C adapters with the 2018 and 2020 Mac mini’s.
The 2014 Mac mini has a Mini DisplayPort for connecting an additional monitor to.

The small connector is Mini DisplayPort (Display logo on the plug), not USB-C, It will plug into a Thunderbolt 2 port on the Mac mini.
The Compatibility section shows "Mac mini (Late 2014)".
What monitors do you have and video inputs dose the second monitor have?
If the first monitor is connected to the Mac mini’s HDMI port, then you need a USB-C adapter that supports the second monitor.
They both have VGA, HDMI and USB inputs.
Neither monitor or the Mac Mini has a USB-C input.

Unfortunately doesn’t seem to be too common of a cable. None of the Best Buy’s or other tech stores within 100 miles of me carry it in store. Has to be ordered.
