Trouble with Apple Mail Apple Mail doesn't work with my Comcast account, all of a sudden. Macbook Pro, OS 12.6, Monterey. I get an error message when clicking on triangle beside the account name in Mac Mail: "Temporarily blacklisted IP Address - try again later." Confirmed Username and Password work using webmail. Mail works on my iPhone. Tried everything I could find on Apple Support, including rebooting all equipment and deleting and adding account back in (that was very problematic). I have other email accounts that work fine, for example 2 Gmail accounts. I see many users have reported similar problems. Consulted with Comcast. They pointed me to Apple Support. Help! Please! Apple mail with Comcast - anyone else having the same problem? I have 3 Apple mail email addresses that have been setup and working with no issues for years. As of around November 15 my main email address stopped sending outgoing mail. Webmail (Comcast mail using a browser) and email using my iphone have no problems. Other 2 email addresses still work for incoming and outgoing email and Apple mail. I am using an iMac. Does anyone else who uses Comcast as a provider for email experience the same problem? I could not get any help from Apple or Comcast. Nobody can explain what I should do based on the error message I get when I try to send an email using Apple mail from the email address that has a problem ("The mail server responded: Please ensure your email address and authenticating user match when sending messages. Please verify that your email address is correct in your account settings and try again"). Nothing was changed on my end for years. I did change my password for this email address in Comcast, in Apple mail on on my iphone. I knew that this will not be a fix, and it was not, but I tried. If anyone else has the same issue, please let me know.

This is a Commonly-Reported Issue:

Xfinity is not too fond of third-party eMail apps (i.e. Apple Mail and Microsoft Outlook). So, use their own site: Sign in to Your Comcast Email Account or Voicemail Service - Xfinity
