Is there a minimum version for Apple TV to work as a hub?
The current models (4th generation or later) are supported. Apple TV (3rd gen.) can technically be a home hub, but with serious limitations. If you are serious about HomeKit, then you’ll want a newer model.
The latest model (A2169) includes support for Thread, which is very beneficial for several HomeKit accessories.
