In the last 5 years has Apple figured out how to move around your favorites in text messages? My favorite’s were picked for me and I don’t need Old work numbers/names as my favorite, Only the messages for back up? I want to put Family Up Top! If not then I’ll have to move back to my Android to be able to get in touch with my grandkid’s Quickly!

Here’s how you pin your favorites to the top of the Messages app. From Use Messages on your iPhone or iPad - Apple Support
Pin important conversations
1. In Messages, tap Edit or the More button.
2. Tap Edit Pins, then tap the Pin button
.
3. Tap Done.
You can also touch and hold a conversation to pin it. In iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 and later, you can pin up to nine conversations.
As you pin new conversations to the top, the others will be removed.
