eSIM vs Physical SIM internationally

When I travel overseas with my iPhone 13 Pro, I often buy a local SIM card as it is usually much less expensive than my US carrier’s “International “ plan. Will I still be able to do this with an IPhone 14 Pro and it’s eSIM?

You would have to check with the cell companies where you travel to see if they support eSIMs.

Yes, they do but it's expensive. $10/day flat rate. If you're gone for 2 months, that $600. Local SIMS are a lot cheaper. Buy one for $15 or so and then just top it up as you need more voice or data.

Who is your carrier? AT&T apparently caps it at $100/month. It's worth talking to your carrier.
