iPhone automatically increasing brightness of screenshots of videos.

I’ve noticed for the past few months that whenever I record a video on my iPhone and then go back to get a screenshot of a moment in that video, the end result is a super brightened version of the original from the video. Any ideas as to what may cause this/ how to turn it off? Thanks!

Hi jackaustin25,

Thanks for posting in Apple Communities.

The screenshot should show as it appears onscreen. If you haven't already, restart your iPhone and make sure that it has been updated to the latest software version in Settings > General > Software Update.

Try taking a screenshot of a still to see if the same behavior continues. If it does or this continues after updating, contact Apple Support.

Regards.
