Why can't I see my "old" iTunes play lists on my iPhone or my iPad? This is very frustrating!!

If you have playlists stored on a Mac or PC that you wish to sync to an iPad or iPhone, Sync music between your Mac and iPhone or iPad outlines the steps you can take to transfer music including playlists from a Mac or Sync iTunes content on PC with your devices if you use a PC. During the process you may choose to sync the entire library or only selected songs, playlists, artists or genres.

Please note that syncing content from a computer to a device will replace the contents currently on the device with the information selected, removing any content not part of the computer iTunes or Music library.
