Why does it say cannot add card

1. "Check that you're able to use Apple Pay:

• Contact your card issuer to see if they support Apple Pay.

2.Check for services outages or connection issues.

3.If you see the message "Could Not Add Card" or "Invalid Card," contact your bank or card issuer."

Apple has recently added the ability to add the Apple Account card in the Apple Wallet. I too am unable to add this to the apple wallet, and I do have funds on my apple account. Anyone else run into this and possible solutions?

Seems Apple ID Account balance can only be used for Apple purchases at this time.

Eg: It is used for App Store, Apple Music, iCloud, and more. Your money stays with your Apple ID account.

Apple Pay and Wallet are used differently from your Apple purchases.:

Wallet uses your Apple Pay credit / debit cards to pay merchants, in stores and on the web.

ie: Your account(s) and statements are with your card providers (eg: bank / credit company.).

Wondering if you are getting an error message that would point to the cause of card not adding,

and

which Mac model, iPhone or device model you are using

and

which Mac OS / iPhone iOS, or device iOS is installed.
