Siri stuttering on certain voices

On some voices Siri has a heavy speech problems.

She stutters ("It's currently partly cloudy and twenty tw-d-d-d-d-d-d-d"), looses big parts of a sentence ("It's currently partly cloudy and ??? degrees") and so on.

Hard reloads do not fix the issue, just swap the place she hiccups on.

Switching to a stable voice (Indian, for example) removes the issue completely.

I love Irish Siri voice a lot, but this problem renders it absolutely unusable.

Sadly, I was unable to find any recent discussions on this particular matter, and no solution either.

Hi Missy5937,

Good question.

I used Voice 2.

Just tried Voice 1, and it appears to be absolutely OK. So the issue is solely with Irish Voice 2.

I must say that I didn't check every voice available, so I can't say if there are any other corrupted voices.

I know that American Voice 4 is fine (using it now) and Indian Voice 1 was also OK.

I have latest OS (15.6.1) already installed.

Hello St_Permiakov,

You mentioned this happens with the Irish voice for Siri. Looking at Settings > Siri & Search > Siri Voice, are you using Voice 1 or 2? Does this happen with both? Also, does it occur with the second voice you mentioned downloading? Lastly, have you updated your iPad to version 15.6.1? If you haven't, go ahead and update your device to see if that helps.

Be sure to create a backup before installing the update. The articles below will help with the process.

Hello St_Permiakov,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. Does the issue persists when connecting your iPad to a different Wi-Fi network? When did you first notice this issue? Do you recall anything changing on your iPad around the time this issue started?

Do you have Low Power Mode turned on when you experience this issue? We're asking as some features may be affected when Low Power Mode is turned on.

To learn more about Low Power Mode, please check this out:

Let us know the results. Kind regards.

Hi!

Yes, issue persists regardless network type and quality (Wi-Fi or mobile Internet).

I noticed the issue as soon as I downloaded Irish voice for Siri, that is — about 2-3 months ago.

Nothing else changed: I just downloaded another voice pack.

Low Power Mode is off and iPad is mostly connected to charging device.

It actually just depends on a voice type. Nothing else changes.
