no power 24” M1 iMac

My 24” M1 iMac has no power. Tried another working power supply, held startup button, no nothing. Troubleshoot and estimate repair cost.

There is no PRAM & SMC reset for M1 based Mac as there is with Intel based Macs.

If you need to send it in for service, please call AppleCare (800) 275-2273 in the USA, outside the USA please click AppleCare Contact Info to find the phone number for your area. Explain your location problem and they will help you get the machine sent in for service.

A known working power outlet putting out 118v did not make a difference. Held power button for 15, 20, 30 seconds and no startup tones or any action. Tried normal power startup still nothing. Also put original power supply on known working iMac and it started up. Problem is in 24” M1 iMac. Tried the pram, smc, reset and nothing happened - no power, chime or display.
