Trackpad and mouse scrolling

Hi,

MacOS 12.5.1

I have a MacBook Air and a Magic Mouse.

I settings, I want the trackpad to have natural scrolling (not sure what the correct English term is) and the mouse not natural scrolling.

But when I change it in either mouse or trackpad setting, it applies to both. So I can't have mouse on not natural and trackpad on natural.

Bug or do I do something wrong?

Can't change Magic Trackpad settings I've added a Magic Trackpad to my MacBook Pro set up. Ventura 13.3.1. I can control the settings of my built-in track pad but not the Magic Trackpad. I've tried: 1) turning off and on my MacBook, my Magic Trackpad, and unpairing and repairing. 2)I've clicked Settings>Trackpad and played around. I have all of the settings for my built-in trackpad just the way I like them. How do I get my Magic Trackpad to adopt those settings? Thank you!

Option to separate trackpad and mouse (natural) scroll direction? I'm aware that there are separate mouse and trackpad options for natural scrolling in the settings. However, it is the same setting, just one "variable" in the OS and that kind of defeats the purpose of the two separate setting. Becuase: -If I use the mouse I have to go into the settings and turn it off. -Then I stop using the mouse, remove it and then I have to go back and turn natural scrolling on for my trackpad The two setting should be separate, retaining their options separately. Is there a FREE and lightweight option for this to fix if Apple doesn't want to fix it please? Like I was able to fix natural alt+tab with alttab application, maybe some pro mac users can recommend such free easy very light-bloatware free app? But I think this request popping up quiet frequently so Apple should fix this finally.

There is still no way to change scroll direction of mouse and trackpad independently? I would like my trackpad to be set to "natural scrolling" on, but when using a mouse "natural scrolling" off. Looks like there are various post on this back to 2012. Is this really still not possible?

I have the same issue. When my Macbook Air M1 is docked and I use a Magic Mouse, I don't want to use Natural Scrolling. When I use the Trackpad (not docked), I want to use Natural Scrolling.

If there are settings for both Trackpad and Mouse in System Preferences, why do they affect each other? It seems perfectly normal that since each have their own Natural Scrolling setting, it should apply to each, not the other.

Current macOS version: 12.5.1
