How can you receive politician texts via Siri, as opposed to any other texts that Siri reads to you? If you don’t want Siri to read texts to you turn off the feature.
Another option is to go to Settings/Messages/Unknown & Spam and turn on Filter Unknown Senders. This will put all messages from anyone not in your contacts into a separate queue, and that might stop Siri from reading them (I don’t know; I haven’t tried). And you can also add an SMS filter app such as Nomorobo.
Recently, Google tried to block political spam to gmail addresses, and politicians of a certain US political party cried foul. So Google had to stop doing it. If you have gmail you now have to opt out every time you receive political spam.
