How to uninstall apps on your Mac - Apple Support describes how to delete apps that were downloaded from the App Store. It also applies to apps downloaded from other sources. It does not apply to apps that are integral to macOS.
If you having trouble deleting apps that you downloaded and installed, then follow my instructions.
Just to add - any Applications that are Baked Into the Operating System, example Mail, Safari, Notes, Disk Utilities, Chess and the list goes on - can not be removed or deleted - period.
They can be removed from the " Dock " but will still be presented in the Applications folder.
As far a I Know going back to OS X 10.14 Tiger released in 2005 this has always been the case
So, if that the issue - suggest using the link provided earlier from @dialabrin and make your voice heard directly to Apple

FWIW, you cannot delete Apple apps included with macOS.

Well, so far you haven’t told us which apps you are trying to delete. That would one very helpful. Would you mind?
