I am trying to delete apps from my application folder, but I can't drag them to the trash nor delete them through the finder, because the command "move to trash" is greyed out. Please help!

are the apps that you are trying to delete apps that were included with macOS? if yes, apps that are included with macOS cannot be deleted. and why do you feel the need to delete them? most apps are small in size, and not much disk space will be recovered ny deleting them anyways.
