I am still running Mojave, because my Mac is from 2012 and every new OS update makes it run slower and slower. Am I vulnerable to the hack? Or are the only OSs vulnerable are the ones they made fixes for?

The weakness is in Safari...
Mostly you just need a more modern Browser than Safari on Mojave, or High Sierra like Firefox or Brave.
Mojave and its version of Safari is no more vulnerable to the latest security fearmongering than it has ever been.
Thank you. It seems a lot of my web sources want me to use Chrome. I'm just not looking forward to having to transfer all my passwords from Safari.
Chrome (or any app written by Google) would be the worst possible choice. Unless, of course, you like giving up reams of daily data to their servers without your knowledge.
