Remote rejects command 3rd Gen AppleTV
How to fix if a 3rd Gen AppleTV rejects commands despite power down/restart and unpair/pair on old remote and a new one I just bought. AirPlay works just fine, so this is quite puzzling.

The new style remotes are not compatible with the 3rd generation Apple TV. You’ll want the Apple Remote (aluminum) for this model.
