Why does my remote for my new AppleTV disconnect all the time? How do I fix this? Is this a warranty issue?

Same here, I suspect the recent update is to blame.

Try re-pairing your remote, no idea if it will be a lasting fix since I just did it now.

Hold your remote within a few inches of the front of the box, simultaneously press both the back (<) and volume up buttons for several seconds. It should be reconnected.

This happens to me all the time and repairing isn’t very successful. It will reconnect and almost instantly disconnect again. I have tried plugging in the remote (not a low battery issue). I have tried unplugging the AppleTV. Last night I reset the remote. It worked way better but I’m tired of this issue occurring. I bought 2 of the new model when they came out and they’re WAY more trouble than any of the older models I own. Apple needs to step up and fix the issue or recall the devices (either the box or remote whichever is causing the issue; or both).
